Love Hop 2022 - Part 3: Decorating the Journal

This is Part 3 of my contribution to the 2022 Love Hop,

in collaboration with "That's Just Penny" groups on Facebook. 

I show what I've done with the cover and the closure, 

and a few other things that I did between Parts 2 and 3.

In this video we begin decorating the pages of the journal. I demonstrate how I use my "page starters" (collage snippets) to make pockets and journal cards. They can also be used to create tuck spots, tags, cluster embellishments, and journal spreads. I also show how I use pleated ruffles made from vintage book pages as the base for snippet rolls and ephemera clusters.

Love Hop 2022 - Part 2: Making Ephemera for the Journal

This is Part 2 of my series on how to make a simple, single signature

junk journal, for the "Love Hop" 2022 collaboration with "That's Just Penny" 

Facebook groups (Junk Journal Corner & Art Bible Journaling). 

In this video I show you how to create perfectly matching ephemera when the digital kit you are using does NOT include ephemera. In this episode I make 2 types of pockets in various sizes, 3 types of tags, 2 kinds of envelopes, and various size journal cards.

This is Part 1 of my series on how to make a simple, single signature junk journal,

1) How to print on both front and back of the paper with ANY PRINTER,

2) Put the pages in the signature & adding vintage book pages & "junk" papers,

3) Trim the pages and WHY you should do it (plus other options),

4) Choose a cover,

5) Sew the signature into the cover (by hand).
